On August 24, the National Draughts Federation of the USA took part in a cultural and artistic celebration organized by Ukrainian Association of Florida on the occasion of the Independence Day of Ukraine at West Palm Beach, FL.

A lot of visitors of the event of all ages — both children and adults — joined master classes and competitions, lectures and sessions of training games organized by the NDF representatives.

The development of checkers as an intellectual sport is of increasing interest, since our favorite ancient game improves the development of cognitive processes in children, and also helps to ensure lively thinking in older age, improves concentration, imagination, memory, perception, imaginative thinking, etc. 

That is why playing draughts and checkers is very useful for people of all ages!

Our organization was represented by the champion and silver medalist of the US  Checkers National Youth Division  in Lebanon, TN, Yevhen Bohush and Darii Shcherbatyuk, US National Checkers Champion Vadym Lapin, multiple times checkers World Women Champion Tetiana Zaitseva, World Championship in draughts-100 among veterans, multiple times USA  Champion Alexander Rudnytsky, as well as an International Referee of World Draughts Federation (FMJD), draughts and checkers coach Andriy Shcherbatyuk.
